i seem to have a white crush going on this week. i love building from a solid white base — there are so many places to go from such a neutral space! keep it simple, like many of these spaces, but add just a bit of color (like above) and boom — so much good contrast going on. or, layer your ‘whites’ for a really textural look. no matter where you end up, white is wonderful. have a great weekend all, and see you on monday!

- this is a really simple look but that crochet throw flips it on its head and makes it so special, adding color and texture to a fairly ordinary bedroom.
- this paris apartment is so fresh looking — all white and oh-so-tailored looking, especially that great welted sofa. the paper lanterns are pretty inspired, too!
- anthropologie very often has some uniquely wonderful furniture pieces in their collection and this white Heathcote Bench is no exception. the brass-tipped legs make it next level.
- a great chair can make a room, especially when it happens to be an egg-inspired chair. this white leather version makes this chic nook (and that lamp helps out a lot, too!).
- sleek black leather sofas in a sparse space look pretty chic, eh? i adore everything about this look, the white beamed ceilings and all that lovely light.
- these black & white portrait prints look ‘crumpled’ but it only adds to their unique charm. i wonder if one could DIY this look?
- who doesn’t have a special fondness for john lennon? i think this inexpensive John Lennon Poster would look especially cool in a white matte and simple black frame.
- i love a spontaneous inspiration wall and one can achieve that pretty easily with some scissors, a stack of magazines and some japanese washi tape. this one looks lovely.
